Ongos Ladies whip Girls and Goals

Shama Gure’s Ongos Ladies FC were unstoppable on Saturday, thrashing Girls and Goals 6-0 in the FNB Women Super League at the NFA Technical Centre in Windhoek.Anna Shikusho scored a triple for the team, Memory Ngonda recorded a brace, whereas Julia Rutjindo also added her name to the score sheet.
Reflecting on the victory, head coach Gure said it’s evident that the team’s hard work, determination, and teamwork paid off exceptionally well.
“Each player’s commitment to the game and strategic execution on the field were commendable. Our cohesive play, effective communication, and relentless pursuit of goals showcased our strength as a team.

In other matches of the day, Unam managed a 2-1 victory over V-Power Angels at the same venue.
Unam’s team manager Alina Karlos stated that the players had ample missed opportunities to increase the tally further.
She however added that the players are fit and are gradually getting the right mindset.
Khomas Nampol Ladies walked away with a 1-0 win against Arrows Ladies. Beauties ran up a 5-0 winning margin against Nust, whereas Ongwediva Queens beat Okahandja FC 2-1 at the Uukwagula Stadium in Oshakati.
DEBMARINE PREMIER LEAGUE
In the men’s Debmarine Premiership matches, Blue Waters lost their home match 0-2 against Mighty Gunners.
Young African managed a 1-0 win over Young Brazilian. Okahandja United was the better team on the day, winning 2-0 against Eeshoke Chula Chula in Okahandja.
Life Fighters lost 1-2 against Okakarara Young Warriors, and Unam defeated Julinho Sporting 3-0.
Matches scheduled to take place yesterday in the FNB Women’s Super League and Debmarine Namibia Premier League were postponed following the death of President Hage Geingob.
