AN cross-country champs on the cards

The Athletics Namibia (AN) National Cross-Country Championships will take place at the Open Grounds Field in Eenhana tomorrow.

Both men and women, from all AN regions and associate members, including schools, can take part in the championship.

All entries must be done through the region or associate members.

The cross-country championships are a close competition for selected athletes from Athletics Namibia regions only.

A development race will be included in the programme for primary boys and girls from the host town or region to participate in the championships.

Groups and distance

Registration and number collection will take place at the competition offices at the Eenhana Youth Centre on Friday, from 15:00 to 21:00 in Eenhana. The competition will kick off at 9:00.

Race events

Junior Women: 18 and 19 years old (6 km)

Veterans Women: Under 40–49 (6 km)

Junior Men: 18 and 19 years (8 km)

Veteran Men: Under-40 (8 km)

Youth Development Girls: Under-9 and 13 (2 km)

Youth Development Boys: Under-9 and 13 (2 km)

Senior Women Under-20-39 (10 km)

Senior Men: Under-20-39 (10 km)

Youth Race: Under-18 (4 km)

Master Women: Under-50-59 (4 km)

Youth Race: Under-18 men (6 km)

Master Men: Under-50-59 (6 km)
