The best of international rugby to be honoured

This year's edition of the World Rugby Awards 2024 will take place in Monaco. The prestigious event which celebrates the sport’s most outstanding personalities on and off the field, will take place on 24 November at the iconic Salle des Étoiles. Hosted under the patronage of Princess Charlene of Monaco, the star-studded evening coincides with the end of the international rugby season.
“Following a year that saw an epic conclusion of the HSBC SVNS in Madrid, record-breaking Olympic Games in Paris and action-packed international windows, the Awards will look back and honour those who made a great contribution to the advancement of our game through their talent, personalities and passion,” said World Rugby chief executive Alan Gilpin.
Fourteen award categories will be presented on the night. The nominees in each category are voted by specialist panels which feature rugby legends and World Rugby Hall of Fame inductees, as well as previous World Rugby Award winners such as Thierry Dusautoir, Kieran Read and Rachael Burford.
The retired loose forward Jacques Burger, recently appointed Namibian Rugby Union director of rugby, serves on the panels selecting the World Rugby Men’s 15s Player of the Year, Men's 15s Dream Team of the Year and Men's Breakthrough Player of the Year.
Fans will also have their say by selecting the winners in the two Try of the Year Award categories via an online vote from 18-20 November.
