The much-anticipated FNB Insurance DTS Volleyball For All tournament returns for its 41st edition at the DTS Volleyball Arena in Windhoek on Saturday.

Tournament director Heiko Kesselmann confirmed that tomorrow’s event will feature 192 teams in the 6-a-side category, and 24 teams in the four-a-side pro division.

Speaking to Sport Wrap about the tournament format, Kesselmann said: “The games will start at 08:00 on Saturday. For the 6-a-side teams, the tournament will begin with a round-robin format across 32 groups, each consisting of 6 teams.

“Each match will last 10 minutes, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the second round. The tournament will then proceed with the last 64 teams in a single-elimination format.

“Meanwhile, the four-a-side competition will see four groups of six teams each, with round-robin matches played to a single set, up to 21 points. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, which will also follow a single-elimination format.”
