Business Social League concludes at Namib Park Bowling Club

Team Axon Business Systems clinched the Experienced section, while Dream Team triumphed in the Novice section of the popular Business Social League bowls competition. Namib Park Bowling Club hosted the well-supported tournament, with Bitstream as the main sponsor.The Experienced Team champions, Axon Business Systems, led the points table for most of the competition. 3 Amigos had to settle for third place after being overtaken by Ma se Span, who claimed second place in the final round. The Novice section was fiercely contested over the 10 weeks, with six teams still in contention for the top three positions until the final round. Dream Team eventually came out on top, edging out Tunacor, who finished second by a single point, followed by Synapse in third place.
There was a lively atmosphere during the final round, with everyone enjoying the games, a live band, and the food and drinks on offer. Even the children were thoroughly entertained by the jumping castle provided.
The competition, thoroughly enjoyed by all participants, is held twice a year and attracted 22 teams this time, with 16 competing in the Novice section and six in the Experienced section. It took place over 10 weeks, with teams playing games on either Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 18:00 to 20:00. Each team played 11 rounds, accumulating points to determine the overall section winners, who were crowned after the final round on 9 November 2024.
Bitstream, along with various other sponsors, contributed to making the event memorable, with every team receiving a prize. Many new teams entered the competition, and their skill levels improved with each passing week.
Namib Park Bowling Club expressed its gratitude to all participating teams and to the generous sponsors who made the competition possible. The next Bitstream Business Social League competition will kick off in February 2025, and entry lists with event information will be available on Namib Park Bowling Club’s Facebook page closer to the time.
