Barlow on song in difficult shoot

Shooting
Extreme Steel Shooting Namibia (XSSNA) presented another successful .22 ELR (extreme long-range) event hosted by Okahandja Shooting Club (OSC) and Tobie Barlow on Saturday.

The competitors were challenged over distances of up to 275 meters, shooting at a 110 mm clay target.

Conditions were tricky with lots of mirage and ever-switching winds, greatly affecting the trajectory of the .22 rim fire rounds at these extreme distances.

The winners for the OSC event were as follows:

Women: Gold – Benita Hough; Silver – Lizelle Oberholzer.

Open: Gold – Michael Barlow; Silver – Tobie Barlow; Bronze – Gerrie Hough.

The same competition was simultaneously hosted by Swakopmund Shooting Club for the coastal shooters, with results as follows:

Open: 1st – Kerneels Brockman; 2nd – Jaco Martinson; 3rd – Mack Peddie.

Juniors: 1st – Mack Peddie; 2nd – Paul du Plessis; 3rd – Corne Brockman.
