Healthy inflow of aspiring rhythmic judges

The Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) rhythmic gymnastics division hosted its first judges’ course for the year in Walvis Bay last weekend.The course followed the directives of Gymnastics South Africa’s Southern African Gymnastics Recreational Programme and was led by experienced judge Roumiana Kostin, alongside facilitator and chairperson of Rhythmic Gymnastics Namibia, Britt Adonis-Byl.
A total of 35 participants from nine clubs nationwide attended the course, where they took an exam that they had to pass to qualify as judges for Namibian competitions. The results are expected to be announced later this week.
Participating clubs included those from the two central coastal towns, as well as Windhoek and Tsumeb, namely Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics, Infinity Rhythmic Gymnastics, Windhoek Rhythmic Club, Ocean View, Tsumeb Gymnastics, Atlantic Gymnastics, Walvis Bay Gymnastics, Parkies Gymnastics and the International School of Walvis Bay.
