Teams selected for Omeya's Members Cup

Omeya Golf Club concluded its Race to Omeya series of eight tournaments last weekend.

Each player’s top five results from the eight tournaments were counted, to determine the overall winners. Eric Verburg won the men’s overall individual first place, ahead of Alec Williams (second) and Jaco van Reenen.

Other overall winners were Dina Holtzhausen (women), Gert Lambert (seniors) and Declan Renton (juniors).

On 25 and 26 April, the top 12 selected Home Owners players will take on the top 12 Members at the Members Cup team final, competing in a Ryder Cup format.

Leojo Chemicals, Hisense Namibia, ACT Logistics, Zebra Trailers, CZ Nam, SupaQuick Namibia, IBC Equipment and ComputerKit Namibia were sponsors of the Race to Omeya series.

DMST and King Price are added as sponsors of the Members Cup event.

The two selected teams are:

Members: Alec Williams, Milton Eiseb, Reinhardt Brönner, Fergusson Paulse, Chris Harwin, Willie Prinsloo, Shaun Smith, Danie Pienaar, Mark Anslow, Thinus Williams, Ernie Wessels, Francois Hanekom.

Homeowners: Eric Verburg, Jaco van Reenen, Armand van Dyk, Dieter Schrywer, Lukas Dreyer, Danie Malan, Gielie van Wyk, Cobus de Klerk, Gareth Howard, Johan Husselmann, Frikkie le Grange.
