Young African FC was one of the impressive performers during the quarter-finals of the MTC Maris Cup football tournament, played at Oshakati’s Independence Stadium.

The Gobabis-based team grabbed their winning goal in the dying minutes of their match-up against Ongos FC on Saturday.

George Hummel struck with the left foot after defensive errors by Ongos allowed him enough space to beat the goalkeeper.

Young African’s coach Augustinus Mukoya was excited about the famous result.

“I am proud of how the boys played. It was not an easy match, but we produced a lot of important big moments.”
