Namibian striker Uetuuru Kambato has hit the ground running in the Kosovo First Division, becoming a vital player for KF Liria in their quest to climb the league standings.

At the start of the season, the 26-year-old right-footed forward joined the club from African Stars, Namibia's reigning Premier League champions. Since his arrival, Kambato has seamlessly transitioned into European football, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess and playmaking abilities.

Kambato, a member of the Brave Warriors squad at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire, has carried his fine form from Namibia into the Kosovo league. Over the last four matches, he has been directly involved in six goals – netting five and assisting one.

His standout performance came against league leaders KF Drenica, where Kambato scored a first-half brace and set up a crucial goal, helping his team secure an impressive 3-2 victory. In a heartfelt moment, Kambato dedicated his celebration to his late grandmother, a testament to the personal significance of his achievements.

Driving KF Liria's Revival

KF Liria currently occupy fifth place on the league table and Kambato’s contributions have been pivotal in their resurgence following last season’s relegation. His consistency in front of goal and ability to influence games have made him a key figure in their campaign to challenge for promotion.

Kambato is part of a growing contingent of Namibian players making their mark in Kosovo. Fellow countrymen Romeo Kasume and Erastus Kalula have recently joined the league, while Prins Tjiueza and Aprocius Petrus showcased their talent in Kosovo last season. This influx underscores the rising reputation of Namibian footballers in Europe.
