Murere excited for Commonwealth Games

Namibian para-athlete Bradley Murere said he is excited and ready for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Along with with Ananias Shikongo and Chris Kinda, the athlete has been selected to compete in the competition scheduled to take place in Birmingham in the United Kingdom from 28 July to 8 August this year.

“I’m excited. I missed the Paralympic Games last year. But this is another chance. We put in a lot of work for last year and it paid off,” the young Murere said.

The 19-year old will represent Namibia in the 100-metre event in which he intends to better his personal best time of 11:07 seconds, which he recorded in February at the Stellenbosch T46 Paralympic Games.
