Namibian welterweight boxer Paulus Amavila will aim to win the vacant WBA Asian championship title in Ufa, Russia, tonight when he takes on the host country’s Vadim Musaev. Amavila, who turned professional in November 2018, has since won ten fights (five by knockout) and lost once. His only defeat came in November last year, when he travelled to geneva and lost by majority decision against Bryan Venant Fanga of Cameroon in contesting the IBF African super lightweight title. His Russian opponent tonight has an unbeaten record after nine fights, of which he ended five by knock-out. The 31-year-old Musaev is based in Hollywood, Florida, USA.
